How long have you been with Wentworth and what is your role? I have been with Wentworth builders for 2 years and my role is the cabinet shop supervisor.


What does a typical workday look like for you? My typical workday consists of collaborating with the project managers, architects and the craftsmen in our shop. I also spend time creating production and assembly drawings for the craftsmen in the shop, as well as setting up and programming the CNC to produce necessary parts for current and ongoing projects.

 

What makes you most proud to work at Wentworth? Every day I get to work with the best craftsmen and trade partners in the industry.


What’s the most valuable lesson you’ve learned working at Wentworth? Effective communication is indispensable while working in a team-oriented environment. 


What’s your favorite home you’ve worked on with Wentworth and why? The McKinley Goodhart project is one of my favorite projects that I have been involved with while working at Wentworth Builders. It has that wow factor. The cottage has a warm and welcoming feel throughout. 


If you could give advice to a person just starting their career in your industry, what would you say? Find a builder like Wentworth that not only cares for its employees but also empowers you every day to not only to do your best, but to be the best. 


What is your favorite way to spend your free time? Getting out and connecting with nature, whether it’s in a kayak on a pair of snowshoes or a mountain bike ride in the upper peninsula.


What is an interesting fact about you? I enjoy helping others when time allows.
